Gandhada Gudi is the last film of the late Sandalwood superstar and producer Puneeth Rajkumar, whose sudden demise due to heart attack last year on October 29, shocked the entire Indian film industry.
“Gandhada Gudi- A Journey of a True Hero” is a docu-drama film in which the late superstar embarks on a journey to discover new stories and unravel secrets, and it is going to give a whole new cinematic experience to the ardent fans of the superstar who are really excited to see their “Appu” for the last time in the film.

The docu-film is produced by Puneeth Rajkumar’s wife, Ashwini Puneeth Kumar, under their home banner PRK Production, in association with Mudskipper. It features “Karnataka Ratna” Puneeth Rajkumar and National Award-winning filmmaker and wildlife photographer Amoghavarsha JS, on a journey to explore the natural beauty of Karnataka.
Amoghavarsha is also directing this most ambitious project of PRK’s career. This grand project has a talented and promising team who worked day and night from behind the camera. Pratheek Shetty handled the cinematography, MR Rajakrishnan took care of audiography, and B. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the music.

On October 9, 2022, the Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar released the trailer of the film. The nearly 3-minute long trailer is Puneeth’s way of giving back to nature. It shows the superstar travelling with director Amoghavarsa to an island in Karnataka, where together they look at animals, birds, reptiles, and the entire ecosystem.
The film is an ode to nature by the actor. PM Narendra Modi extended his wishes to the team of “Gandhada Gudi” on the day of its release.

Gandhada Gudi Release Date
The release date of Puneeth Rajkumar’s final docu-film has finally come out and now it is confirmed that the film is set to have its theatrical release on October 28, 2022, a day prior to his death anniversary on October 29.
Almost a week prior to its theatrical release, the team organised a grand, pre-release event named “Puneeth Parva” on October 21 at Krishna Vihara, Palace Grounds, Bangalore, which was attended by more than 500 VIPs, including actors, politicians, and musicians.
Hollywood superstar Suriya, Telugu actor Rana Daggubatti, Yash, director Prasanth Neel and Karnatak CM Basavaraj Somappa Bommai were among the guests who attended the event.
