Head Bush Box Office Collection Day 1 (Early Trends): Getting Fantabulous Response

Directed by Shoonya in his directorial debut, Head Bush is a biographical film based on the life incidents of MP Jayaraj, who is said to be the first underworld don of Bangalore.

The film, starring Kannada superstar Daali Dhananjaya, has opened to rave responses from critics as well as the general public today, October 21, 2022. After watching the early morning show of the film, netizens have flooded social media with their opinions and reviews about the film.

The makers of the film have done all it takes to promote the movie. They even organised an early premiere of the show in some multiplexes in Karnataka, a day prior to its release, and it seems their hard work will surely pay off.

Head Bush Story

Based on Agni Sreedhar’s autobiographical novel My Days in the Underworld, Head Bush is the second production venture of Daali Dhananjaya, after his critically acclaimed 2021 film Badava Rascal, for which he also won Best Actor Award at the recently concluded SIIMA Awards 2022.

The film focuses on the rise of Jayaram from a teenager to a rowdy to an underworld don. Set in the early 70s, the film is titled after the most sought-after gambling game of that time, “Head Bush”, in which Jayaraj and his friend often used to take part.

It shows how a small incident changes the course of the friendship between Jayaram and his friend Ganga, as well as the underworld scene of Bangalore. It also covers how the plan of then Karnataka CM Devraj Urs’s to make Jayaraj head of the Indira Brigade goes wrong, and what happens next takes one through an intense journey.

Head Bush Reviews

Dhananjaya and Yogi are the clear winners of Head Bush, and director Shoonya’s hard work and homework are clearly reflected on the screen. Dhananjaya as Jayaraj is mind blowing, also, Yogi as Ganga, Vasistha as Kothwal Ramchandra, Payal Rajput as Jayaraj’s love interest, and Sruthi Hariharan as Rathnaprabha, among others, have given some of the best performances of their careers.

Balu Nagendra, as Samson, is the complete entertainer, whereas Ravichandran enters the scene as the surprise package. The film has fantastic action sequences and Charan Raj’s music has worked as a cherry on the cake.

Day 1 Box-Office Collection

The film is garnering a lot of praise in every aspect, whether it’s acting, screenplay, dialogues, or music, amid the “Kantara” fever. It turned out to be a winner in every field. It is expected to perform well at the BO today and, as per early estimates, will earn Rs. 1 crore net in India.

However, word of mouth will decide the fate of the film at the box office. The upcoming Saturday and Sunday are going to be very crucial for the film to continue its grip in the long run. If it succeeds in doing so, no one can stop it from being one of the highest grossing Kannada films of this year.
