KBC 14: There were many reasons why Tuesday’s episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati was special. Jaya Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan celebrated Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday on the show. But the episode began with Shashwat Goel from Delhi, who was the roll-over contestant. He had already won Rs 75 lakh and would now play for the Rs 7.5 crore bumper prize.
But first, Shashwat answered the Rs 1 crore question correctly and became the second crorepati of the season. Then, he tried the question for Rs. 7.5 crore.
Shashwat Goel tried to answer the question, which was worth Rs 1 crore. The question was: The bhitari pillar in Ghazipur, UP, is a key source for tracing the lineage of the kings of which empire? And the choices were: A. Shaishunaga, B. Gupta, C. Nanda, and D. Maurya.
After a lot of thought, Shashwat chose B) Gupta, which turned out to be the right answer. Mr. Bachchan not only told him he was happy for him, but he also called Shashwat’s wife on video. Shashwat was also given a case as a special gift after he won Rs 1 crore.

Big B then gave Shashwat the 17th question, which was worth Rs 7.5 crore.
“Which British Army unit was given the motto “Primus in Indis” because it was the first to serve in India?” was the Rs. 7.5 crore questions. “A. 41st (Welsh) Regiment of Foot; B. 1st Coldstream Guards; C. 5th Light Infantry; and D. 39th Regiment of Foot” was the option.
Amitabh Bachchan was asked what would happen if he didn’t answer the question. Big B told him that the prize money would go down to Rs 75 lakh and that he wouldn’t get the car either.
Shashwat was willing to try to answer the question and take a chance. At first, he chose to lock Option D, but in the end, he chose Option A. It was wrong.
His gut feeling was right. Choice D was the right answer after all. Because Shashwat gave the wrong answer, he went home with Rs 75 lakh.
Shashwat Goel says my focus is only on….
Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan had asked Shashwat what he would do with the prize money, and Shashwat had said that he did not consider money to be an accomplishment and that he would donate the entire amount. Earlier in the episode, Shashwat talked about how he lost his mother and how that made him realize that material things don’t matter in life. He told them, “This money doesn’t mean anything to me because my view of life has changed since this happened to my mother.” I realized that material things will stay here and we will leave the world. My only goal is to be happy and to help other people.
Amitabh Bachchan told Shashwat that his game was great and wished him luck.
