Veteran actor Arun Bali has passed away. He breathed his last in Mumbai. It is being told that he was troubled for a long time due to neuro-related illness and he was admitted to the hospital only a few months ago. Arun Bali’s last film ‘Goodbye’ has been released today. He has appeared in the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s father-in-law in this film.

Born on 23 December 1942 in Lahore, Pakistan, Arun Bali did many films and TV shows in his long career. He not only worked in Hindi films but also left an indelible mark of his acting in Telugu and Punjabi films. Arun Bali played mostly character roles in his career. He worked with all the big stars of Bollywood and ruled the hearts of the audience in different roles for a long time.
Arun Bali’s Bollywood debut was with the film ‘Saugandh’, which was released in the year 1991. However, before debuting in Bollywood, Arun Bali worked in many TV shows. Arun Bali made his TV debut in the year 1989 in the TV show ‘Doosra Kewal’ (Doosra Kewal). In the same year, he was also seen in the show ‘Phir Wahi Talaash’. His character in the popular TV show ‘Neem Ka Ped’ was very much liked. In the year 1991, he played the role of King Porus in the serial ‘Chanakya’. He played the character of Kunwar Singh in Doordarshan’s very popular show ‘Swamiman’. In the year 2000, he was offered the serial ‘Kumkum’. In this, he made his mark in every household by playing the role of Harshvardhan Wadhwa. He played important roles in TV shows like ‘Woh Rahe Wali Mahal Ki’, ‘Aahat’, ‘Shaktimaan’, ‘Mayka’, ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’, and ‘Jai Ganesh’.
